A unique wedding ceremony happened in the outskirts of Kerala when the groom arrived on a camel holding an anti-CAA poster in his hands
Haja Hussain, the groom, used this unique form to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Accompanied by a large crowd mostly comprising his friends and relatives, Hussain carried a placard which read 'Reject CAA, Boycott NRC and NPR' as he arrived at the wedding hall in Vazhimukku, about 20 km from here, on a camelback.
Hussain said that he choose to do this to express his protest against the CAA.
"Along with the 'Meher' (the custom where the groom hands over gold or money to the bride), I also gave a copy of the Constitution. CAA should be rejected," said Hussain, who is a local businessman.
Well, this is not the first unique ways when people have protested against CAA & NRC. Do you remember the pre-wedding ‘Save the Date’ photoshoots with 'No CAA, No NRC' message or the bride who used her mehendi to protest against CAA and NRC?
A Muslim couple's picture along with their relatives with posters stating 'No CAA, NRC' holding on stage got viral just a few days back.
The new law promises citizenship to members of 6 non-Muslim communities from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh who entered India before December 31, 2014.
