Jharkhand: Two killed as school wall collapses in Palamu

DALTONGANJ: Two persons died and one was injured when a boundary wall of an ANM school, on the campus of Palamu Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), collapsed on Wednesday. Pintu Rajwar, a resident of Semree village under Nagar Untari block in the adjoining Garhwa district, died on the spot. Naresh Rajwar and Hermode Rajwar, who were injured, were taken by road to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims). Naresh succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
Palamu civil surgeon Dr John F Kennedy said the three were digging earth to build a concrete drain next to the boundary wall of the ANM school. Kennedy said, "While the men were at work, the boundary wall, nearly six feet high, collapsed on them. Hermode and Naresh were referred to Rims after they were administered first aid. Naresh died on the way to Rims while Hermode is battling for life after suffering injuries in the his head and multiple fractures in the body."
