Kyly and Michael Clarke announced their separation on Wednesday, after reportedly living apart for five months.

But despite her private heartbreak, the 38-year-old interior designer has been putting on a brave face while filming the new season of House Rules.

According to entertainment reporter Peter Ford, Kyly is well liked by the cast and crew and has been described as a 'natural'.

'Kyly has joined House Rules and she's been filming,' Ford said on The Morning Show on Thursday.

He added: 'The crew on the show tell me she's terrific. She's absolutely a natural.'

Kyly was announced as one of the new judges for the 2020 season of House Rules in October.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: 'So thrilled and excited to announce another career dream has come true.

'To my dearest followers and supporters in life, I am officially one of the new House Rules judges.'

Kyly also thanked her loved ones for supporting her, but did not mention her husband specifically.

'To everyone who has supported me throughout my career and I mean, since I was a kid, thank you,' she added.

Ford suggested that Michael and Kyly, both 38, may have decided to go public with their split to avoid any awkward questions about their marriage later on.

'Kyly is going to be out doing the publicity rounds [for House Rules], so you might as well put it out there on your terms,' he explained.

The Clarkes, who married in May 2012, announced on Wednesday they have parted ways in a divorce estimated to be worth $40million.

They have already agreed terms on their divorce, as well as arrangements to co-parent their four-year-old daughter, Kelsey Lee.

'After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to separate as a couple amicably,' they told The Australian's Media Diary.

'With the greatest of respect for each other, we've come to the mutual conclusion that this is the best course for us to take while committed to the co-parenting of our daughter.'

The news came as a surprise to many, as Kyly had told Daily Mail Australia in January 2019: 'We're not, never were and never will be splitting.'

Just eight months later, Michael reportedly moved out of their $12million marital home in Vaucluse.

The cricket legend is now believed to be living in his $8million investment property in Bondi Beach, which he briefly put on the market last year.

But he still trains at the same Rose Bay gym as Kyly and picks up his daughter to take her to preschool.
