BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Thursday approved eight investment proposals worth Rs 1,609.49 crore which would create employment opportunities for 1450 people.
The state level single window clearance authority (
SLSWCA) headed by
chief secretary Asit Tripathy that takes a call on investment projects within Rs 1,000 crore approved these eight proposals. The projects were approved in sectors like food processing, chemicals, plastics, tourism, steel downstream and infrastructure, said an official statement.
Tata Global Beverages Ltd would set up a tea blending and packaging facility with annual capacity of 36,000 metric ton at Gopalpur. The company would invest Rs 83.53 crore.
Another proposal of Runaya Metsource LLP for coal tar pitch (CTP) distillation unit of total 0.2 MMTPA capacity at Jharsuguda has also been cleared by the SLSWCA. The company would invest Rs 211crore. It also cleared the proposal of Astral Poly Technik Ltd for setting up of thermoplastic pipes manufacturing unit at Ramdaspur. The company would set up Rs 60.06 crore.
Two 5-star hotel projects were also cleared on the occasion. These are by Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd in the city with an investment of Rs 150 crore and another by Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd at Khurda by investing Rs 51 crore.
Proposal of the Thriveni Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd has been approved for setting up 30 MTPA underground slurry pipe line from Keonjhar to Paradip has received SLSWCA nod. The company will invest Rs 948.90 crore.
The chief secretary-led panel also approved the proposal of CDET Explosives industries Pvt Ltd for a cartridge explosive manufacturing unit at Angul. It will invest Rs 55 crore.
Similarly, the Apeejay Logistics Park Ltd would set up expand its existing logistics park at Kalinganagar in Jajpur district with an investment of Rs 50 crore.
The chief secretary directed officials of the state government to extend all helps to the promoters of these projects for expeditious implementation.
