NAGPUR: After the politically active faction of Save Merit Save Nation (SMSN) forum formed its state-level body two months ago, the non-political faction also announced its state-level executive body on Tuesday.
Dr Sanjay Deshpande from Nagpur will be state president of this body, while Shreekrishna Buty will be working president. Dr Anup Marar took over as general secretary.
With Dr Anil Laddhad being state president of the politically active faction, now both factions of SMSN are having leadership from Nagpur and office-bearers from other cities across Maharashtra.
Marar claimed that this faction affiliated to the Save Merit Foundation is the ‘original group’ and it has all legal rights on the intellectual property like logo. “We have taken strong objection to the misuse of our logo. The SMSN logo is intellectual property of Save Merit Foundation and can only be used by its affiliate organizations which agree to its core non-political non-communal and social sensitization movement ideology,” said Marar.
