CHENNAI: The Teynampet all-woman police on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old ice cream vendor for sexually assaulting two minor girls.
The accused has been identified as A Jeeva. He sexually assaulted two minor girls in Teynampet area.
One of the girls fell ill. She was admitted to Government Children’s Hospital in Egmore.
Based on a complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the police registered a case against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him.
