Youth beaten to death in clash during marriage

Varanasi: A 28-year-old youth was beaten to death and one more person sustained injuries following a clash at a marriage ceremony during dance on Wednesday night.
The incident was reported from Usasa village in Pakadi area of Ballia district.
An FIR has been registered against some baratis of Nagra area. The police are investigating the matter.
According to reports, during the marriage ceremony of one Suresh Chauhan’s daughter, two groups clashed over DJ dance. A local youth Omprakash Ram was allegedly thrashed by the baratis. He sustained serious head injuries. He was taken to the local hospital from where he was referred to Varanasi, but he succumbed to injuries on the way. Another local resident Pradyuman Chauhan also sustained injuries in the clash. He has been admitted to a hospital in Mau district for treatment.
On deceased’s uncle Ghoora Ram’s complaint, the police lodged an FIR against some baratis of Nagra area. The police said that the matter was being investigated.
