Telangana HC to hear Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy plea on April 9

HYDERABAD: Justice G Sri Devi of Telangana HC on Wednesday posted to April 9 for final hearing in plea filed by AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy seeking permission to allow his lawyer to represent him in the trial court hearing the quid pro quo case.
Earlier, the trial court had dismissed Jagan's plea. He later preferred an appeal against that order. CBI counsel K Surender, however, filed a counter prepared by the probe agency which opposed any relief to Jagan.
Jagan was made an accused in all 11 chargesheets CBI had filed. He moved 11 pleas seeking exemption from court appearances citing his duties as a CM. Since the matter is posted to April, Jagan's counsel urged the court to grant exemption to Jagan till the matter is decided by the HC. The judge suggested the trial court could be briefed about the status of the HC case and relief could be sought on this ground.
