Neosho Holiday Classic Day 2

Welcome back everyone.

Today marked round two of the neosho holiday classic with all three of our area boys teams looking for wins in the consolation bracket.

First up, neosho taking on cedar ridge.3rd quarter, nice in-and-out ball movement leads to a three for connor johnson.

Wildcats were up 18 to begin the quarter.then, next possession.

This time from the other wing.

Neosho up 48-27.they'd keep it going too.

Bryce murphy gets a quick bucket underneath the basket.wildcats up 20.and then the big man, lucas kibler down low with the basket and the foul.

Neosho flexes its way to a second round win, 74-43 the final against cedar ridge.

Wildcats start off great, sydney linney gets the steal on defense.

Then goes coast-to- coast for the lay up.

Neosho with first points of the game.

It would continue that way for a while, lady wildcats work it around the perimeter to makayla hayes for 3.

Neosho up 11-0.then more great defense by linney.

On the press, she takes the ball away.

Would get the bucket and the foul.

16-0 neosho before they allowed a point.and that hot start carried for the wildcats, they beat forrest city 58-34.

East newton taking on van buren after that game.first possession for the pointers and they get it down in the corner for pressley kendrix to hit the three.

Kendrix just a sophomore.east newton gets it's first bucket on a nice hesitation move by matthew brasier.

Patriots still down by 9.then a little later it's dustin mcdermott with a nice move to the basket.

Finishes with the scoop layup.but van buren would get a double digit lead early on in this one and hang on to win.

Pointers beat east newton 62-43.

Mcdonald county facing morrilton over at the middle school.late first quarter the devil dogs come up with a steal.

It leads to a layup for jordan walls.

Morrilton led 14-4.2nd quarter, brandon mcadams grabs a rebound and feeds cooper reece who scores on the double clutch.

Mustangs cut the lead to 8.but morrilton was just too aggressive.
