Cyberabad traffic cops turn accident video into road safety lesson

HYDERABAD: A video of an accident released by Cyberabad traffic police of a biker endangering fellow commuters’ life by driving on the wrong side has gone viral on the internet. The CCTV footage on Twitter shows how traffic violations can lead to accidents even without knowledge of the offender.
“Two-wheeler driver (in green shirt) trying to go in the opposite direction which forces another two-wheeler to change lane abruptly. The sad part of is two-wheeler rider doesn't understand his role in the accident,” tweeted Cyberabad traffic cops @CYBTRAFFIC.

However, the video received mixed reactions with many holding police accountable for unruly traffic culture. “The real sad part of this accident is , it is because of unplanned U turns placed on the road, where there are no speed breakers to reduce the speed of the vehicles at U turns. @cybtraffic do some ground level study,” tweeted Pavan Gopi @DrPavanGopi.
Meanwhile, appreciating police for educating public, a twitter handle @TrafficSahayak read, “Really appreciate you diving deep to understand cause and effect!More such videos needed to educate masses.”
