Show-cause notice served to 10 Odisha colleges for poor enrollment

The higher education department on Wednesday issued show-cause notice to 10 degree colleges in the state for enrolling less than 25 per cent students during last three years.

BHUBANESWAR: The higher education department on Wednesday issued show-cause notice to 10 degree colleges in the state for enrolling less than 25 per cent students during last three years.


The college authorities should send their explanation by February 20. They should furnish their reply as to why their recognition of degree college given by the department not be withdrawn.


These degree colleges were Gyan Bharati Degree College, Bhubaneswar, Gourav College of Commerce, Science and Management, Bhubaneswar, Apex Residential College of Science and Commerce, Kamagarh in Jajpur, Brihaspati College, Joda in Keonjhar, Brilliance +3 Science College, Kailashchandrapur in Mayurbhanj, Sriram Sanskrit Degree College in Kendrapada, Kshetrapal Sanskrit Degree College in Kendrapada, Institute of Advanced Studies in Commerce, Angulipara in Sambalpur, Sukanti Degree College, Dhubamunda in Sonepur and Venus Degree College, Dengibhadi in Sundargarh.
