Nature lovers in Srinagar have got the opportunity to witness the world of birds up close. Bird watching training programme was organised in Srinagar’s Dachigam National Park on February 11. Birds play an important role in wildlife, nature and overall biodiversity. The training program was organised by Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WCMA) and funded by the Ministry of Environment and Forests in collaboration with the directorate of ecology. During the 20-days long training programme participants from different parts of the valley attend both theory and practical classes where they gain experience from experts. A short documentary film regarding the overall wildlife was also screened during the training programme.
