Kashmiri youth exchange prog being held in the city

PUNE: With the instruction of Ministry of Home affairs and Youth Program- Ministry of Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pune has organised a Kashmiri Youth Exchange programme from February 11 to 16. In this programme, as many as 130 youths from the places such as Anantnag, Kupwada, Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar and Pulwama who have been affected due to terrorism, will participate.

The main motive of this programme is to provide the youths of these terror affected areas with the exposure of culture, arts, science, education, industrial development etc so that these youths can become responsible citizens of the country. 

The programme was inaugurated on Tuesday at the district collector’s office in the presence of Manikrao Salunkhe, Vice-Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Birendra Kumar Topo, DIG, CRPF, Pune, Naval Kishore Ram, District Collector among others.

On Wednesday, a session at Symbiosis Skills and Open University will be held for these youths and a session at CRPF Talegaon has been also organised for them. 

On February 13, a visit to Mumbai  has been organised for these youths to make them understand the culture of Maharashtra. Other sessions such as interaction at Poona College will also be held during these five days.
