Assam NRC data is safe, technical issue will be resolved: Govt confirms

The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday assured the safety of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) data in Assam. The Centre’s assurance came after the data of the final citizens' list in Assam reportedly disappeared from the official website of the state NRC. Notably, the data was published on the website in August 2019, after it was mandated by the Supreme Court.
