Share market update: Pharma shares mixed; Piramal Enterprises down 1%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's morning session with their sectoral index trading flat.

Shares of Biocon (up 1.23 per cent), Divi's Laboratories (up 0.73 per cent), Lupin (up 0.4 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.16 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Piramal Enterprises (down 1.04 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 0.98 per cent), Cipla (down 0.81 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 0.74 per cent) and Dr Reddys Laboratories (down 0.4 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.09 per cent down at 8317.55 around 10:08 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 105 points at 12,212.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 387.78 points at 41,603.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BHEL, SBI, Tata Motors, Coal India Ltd, Ashok Leyland, NBCC and L&T Fin Holding were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
