Punjab and Haryana high court chief justice launches eStatement module

Justice Ravi Shanker Jha launched eStatement module at Chandigarh high court.
CHANDIGARH: Taking the concept of eCourts to new heights, the chief justice of Punjab and Haryana high court, Justice Ravi Shanker Jha on Wednesday launched eStatement module at Chandigarh high court. The move is aimed at eliminating manual generation of monthly statements by district courts in the states of Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh and would ensure auto-generation of such statements and auto-fetching of data through Case Information System (CIS) directly from the high court.
On this occasion, the judges of the high court were also present. The module, developed by the technical team of high court under the guidance of Computer Committee, embedded in itself formats of all the monthly statements along with verification certificates. It will eliminate the requirement of maintenance of more than 30 statements / registers upgraded manually on daily basis. Shortly, features of digitally signed certificates will also be introduced. The module would promote 'Go-Green' drive resulting in huge savings of papers, time and money.
