AAP leaders celebrate victory in Delhi assembly polls

Ludhiana: Aam Admi Party (AAP) leaders and office-bearers on Tuesday celebrated the landslide victory of the party in Delhi assembly elections.
Led by Jagraon MLA Sarvjeet Kaur Manuke, the AAP members celebrated victory at the Circuit House and distributed sweets.
Some enthusiasts also danced to the tunes of dhol and bhangra was also performed by them.
Meanwhile, in a unique incident, AAP MLA Manuke offered sweets to BJP leader Kamal Chaitly, who too politely accepted the sweets.
Speaking on the occasion, Manuke said, “It is just not a victory of AAP, but of the people of Delhi and India as well, as people have gave a befitting reply to the divisive policies of BJP and shown them their real place. This win will give boost to AAP’s prospects in Punjab and this time both Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Congress will be routed out of Punjab as both these parties have become a curse for our state and have pushed Punjab back to misery.”
However, the BJP’s newly appointed state president, Ashwani Sharma, who was in Ludhiana today, played down AAP’s victory and said, “The victory of AAP means nothing at all at national level. This has no relevance with our party’s performance anywhere else and won’t have any impact on BJP which is in power on majority of the states. As far as politics of Punjab is concerned, AAP has already been shown the door by the people of the state and this party has no chance to come in power even in the next 20 years.”
