Liverpool 'considering re-signing Coutinho'
Liverpool reportedly considered re-signing Philippe Coutinho prior to his move to Bayern Munich last summer.
Jurgen Klopp played down the suggestion when asked about the prospect of bringing the Brazilian back to Anfield at the time, claiming they could not to match the deal Barcelona would have wanted.

But The Athletic, cited by the Mail, claim Klopp did look into the possibility of re-signing Coutinho and held talks with the club’s sporting director Michael Edwards regarding a potential return.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old has seemingly ruled out the possibility of returning to Liverpool in the future in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
I don’t look back. I took another path, and now I am on another journey, much like everyone else.
I’m focused entirely – just like them – on reaching my dreams. I’m happy with what I did in the past, and now I can only look forward.
Ceballos reveals Liverpool snub
Dani Ceballos has claimed he rejected a move to Liverpool last summer in favour of joining Arsenal.

And despite an underwhelming campaign so far since joining the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid, the Spaniard has explained his decision to Marca, cited by Goal, and revealed he has no regrets.
I was proud to have a club like Liverpool after me, but I chose Arsenal because of Unai Emery and how he was with me. Right now, I wouldn’t fit in at Liverpool very well.
Unai was key to me being at Arsenal. I went to play at a club like Arsenal because, apart from the fact that it’s a massive club, Unai practically came to my house to tell me that he loved me as a player, that he’s been in love with me since I played for Betis...
The confidence of a coach is key to giving your best performance. Unai told me that I would be important with him at Arsenal and I didn’t have any doubts about going there.
Klopp is a great coach but you have to look at the playing philosophy of each team. Right now, my style of play wouldn’t fit in the best possible way in a team like Liverpool. Still, being linked to the best teams just shows I am doing things right.
Werner to Tottenham?
RB Leipzig have tweeted that Timo Werner’s off to Tottenham.
Thankfully, they’re joking!

What. A. Player.
Liverpool still interested in Werner
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Timo Werner next summer according to BILD.

Head of Football Christian Falk has tweeted Jurgen Klopp could take advantage of the striker’s €60m release clause.
He’s also tweeted talks were held last summer but an agreement could not be reached with the striker keen to stay in the Bundesliga.
But now he’s apparently open to a move to England.

Liverpool eye Brozovic move
Marcelo Brozovic’s impressive form this season has caught the eye of Liverpool according to reports in Italy.
FcInterNews, cited by Forza Italian Football, claims Reds scouts were in attendance to watch the Croatian during Inter Milan’s 4-2 victory over AC Milan on Sunday, while Liverpool are reportedly willing to pay his €60 million release clause.
Got a few bones to pick with this one.

Liverpool do not need a central-midfielder and will certainly not spend €60m on one who will sit on the bench at best.
He’s primarily a holding midfielder, well he isn’t getting in ahead of Fabinho, and he’s 27 so hardly a long-term signing.
Oh, and it’s the first time I can remember Liverpool being linked with him. Not buying it.
Mignolet has no regrets over Liverpool exit
Simon Mignolet has been reflecting on his Anfield exit, insisting winning a trophy with Brugge would mean more than last year’s Champions League final win with Liverpool.

The Belgian lost his place during his final 18 months on Merseyside, serving as deputy to first Loris Karius and then Alisson.
And despite the Reds being on the verge of winning the Premier League, he’s told Belgian TV programme Extra Time, cited by Inside Futbol, he has no regrets.
We play in a lot of competitions with Club Brugge. I came back for that. I am the happiest person in all of Belgium.
Now after 18 months on Liverpool’s bench, I can show once again what I am worth at a time when I am at the peak of my career.
I won the Champions League with Liverpool, which is a nice memory. I did not play in that campaign, but I felt I was part of the group. But now it is much more pleasing to be important on the pitch and feel that you can be part of winning. If we win a trophy at Club Brugge, and of course I hope that there are three, then that would be a different feeling than when I lifted the Champions League last year.
