COIMBATORE: Aam Admi Party’s (
AAP) victory in the Delhi assembly
elections was achieved through promise of
freebies and by spreading
lies, said
BJP leader and former Union minister
Pon Radhakrishnan on Wednesday. He was talking to reporters in Coimbatore.
“Shaheen Bagh protests were a drama conducted for this election. It was successful. Tamil Nadu is trying to repeat the same drama,” he said.
Radhakrishnan said BJP won all seats in Delhi in the 2019 general elections. “Delhi people have faith in PM Narendra Modi,” he said.
Speaking of political strategist Prashant Kishor’s tie-up with DMK, he said Kishor was a talented ‘driver’. “But the vehicle he is about to drive, the DMK, is an old tyreless vehicle,” he said.
Taking a further jibe at DMK, Radhakrishnan said the party was ‘bankrupt’. “Their talent went away along with Kalaignar Karunanidhi,” he said.
