Armed man believed to be holed up in Brisbane house resolved

Fears that an armed man was holed up in a Brisbane home that forced Queensland police to cordon off an area of Nudgee has been resolved.

Police were called to Lionel Street about 11.35am on Wednesday following a report that a man inside a home might have had a firearm.

The area surrounding Lionel Street was closed but then re-opened just before 4pm as police left the scene.

Paramedics were also on hand as a precaution.

Police said no complaints or arrests were made.
