DMK and left party members in the Rajya Sabha today staged a walkout after the chair did not permit them to discuss about the Hydrocarbon Issue.

Immediately after the house assembled for the day, DMK member Tiruchi Siva today insisted to discuss on the situation in Tamil Nadu after the State Government’s announcement to declare the delta region as ‘Protected Agricultural Zone, when Hydrocarbon exploration are being carried on’. Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, M. Venkaiah Naidu did not allow for the discussion.
