We recently got to drive the Kia Carnival in Hyderabad and it is a vehicle that truly impressed us. From a design stand point, the Carnival comes with all the tell-tale Kia elements including the tiger nose grille, LED projection headlamps, DRLs, a swept back look and neat large 18 inch alloys to ensure it stands out.
The cabin is where all the action is. After all, this vehicle measures a little over 5 meters in length which means it offers a ton of room on board. Kia has kitted out the Carnival extravagantly and the materials used are all top-notch. There is no complaint on that front. The top model benefits from Nappa leather seats, dual sunroofs, dual touchscreens for the 2nd row passengers and you also get a high-end audio system that delivers excellent playback quality. For your enhanced connectivity needs, Kia is offering the Carnival with UVO Connect that comes with 37 smart features.
The Carnival can be bought in a total of three trim levels and a number of different seat configurations that range from 7-9 seats on board. Powering the Kia Carnival is a powerful 2.2 litre VGT diesel BS 6 diesel engine that is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine is extremely refined and the gearbox does a seamless job of shifting through the gears to ensure you have a comfortable ride.
Officially launched in India in three different specifications at a starting price of INR 24.95 Lacs for its Premium variant (ex-showroom), INR 28.95 for its Prestige variant (ex-showroom), and INR 33.95 lacs for its Limousine variant (ex-showroom). The Carnival is destined to be another big hit for the manufacturer after their successful Seltos SUV.
