CHENNAI: The Flower Bazaar
police in Chennai have secured six more college
students who damaged the windshield of an
MTC bus here last week.
Police said a group of students from New College travelled in a
bus (route number 21 bus) on February 4. When the bus reached the Central Railway station, the students picked up an argument with some students from Presidency College.
As the quarrel continued, the crew forced the students to get down from the bus. The students, who got down from the bus, pelted the vehicle with stones damaging its windshield. Police secured two students while others escaped.
Based on information given by the duo, police on Monday secured six students. Three of them -- identified as Madesh, Surya, and Ismail -- are New College students while Boopathy, Suresh and Manikandan are studying in Presidency College.
