PUNE: The sleuths from Faraskhana police station arrested two persons and claimed to have recovered 20 stolen two-wheelers from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as Santosh Vishnu Nagre (25) of Buldhana district who lived in Hadapsar and Sagar Sharad Samgir (28) of Veerta village in Purandar taluka of Pune district. They were caught after a tip-off was received by policeman Shankar Kumbhar.
DCP (Zone 1) Swapna Gore said, “Based on the information, a trap was laid in Ganesh Peth Dudhbhatti area and the duo were arrested. Till now we have recovered 20 two-wheelers worth Rs 14 lakh from their possession.”
The investigation team included Senior Police Inspector Gajendra Kalaskar, PI Dadasaheb Gaikwad, PSI Pradeep Hambir, Yashpal Suryawanshi, and policemen Bapu Khutwad, Sayaji Chavan, Kedar Adhav, Vikas Borhade, Amol Sarde, Dinesh Bhandurge, Mahavir Walte, Hanif Shaikh, Vishal Chaugule, Akash Valmiki, Amey Rasal, Mayur Bhokre, Mohan Dalvi and Pankaj Deshmukh.
