New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is on its way to win a massive victory in the Delhi elections 2020 and the party has found the perfect way to share its joy.

In a post that has gone viral on social media, AAP workers can be seen dancing and singing to their version of ‘Rinkiya ke Papa’, taking a dig at Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari.

Tiwari, a Bhojpuri singer, has also rendered a popular version of the song.

The party’s social media handle also posted a clip from Shah Rukh Khan’s 2007 film Chak De! India and aptly captioned it “emotions right now”.

The clip is after Shah Rukh Khan, as coach Kabir Khan, leads the Indian Women’s Hockey team to its first international victory in the film. The AAP put out this tweet after news of party leaders Manish Sisodia, Raghav Chadha and Atishi Marlena winning from their constituencies was declared.

The counting of votes for the 70 assembly seats in Delhi is still underway.

Election Commission trends at 4 pm show that AAP is leading in 57 of Delhi’s 70 seats and has won six. An exultant Kejriwal also addressed supporters from the AAP headquarters in Delhi Tuesday and thanked the people for voting him back to power.

‘Mufflerman and O Paalanhaare‘

In the hours before the run-up to the Delhi election results, several memes were shared by the AAP’s official twitter handle.

At midnight Tuesday, the party had put out a tweet with the caption: “The night before results day”.

 

In another, the party’s social media team tweeted a meme featuring a couple in bed and captioned it as “Aapians rn”.

The AAP also posted the photo of a young boy dressed as Kejriwal, the party’s chief, which has been widely shared on social media.

 

The Delhi BJP’s Twitter handle, which had been tweeting vigorously in the run up to the elections, however saw a fall in activity. The only tweet put out by the party was a humble “thank you” to Delhiites for turning up to vote.
