Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. Rajapaksa arrived in Tirupati on Monday evening and stayed at the TTD guesthouse during the night. Rajapaksa visited the temple at early morning and stayed at the temple for an hour. The Sri Lankan leader offered prayers to the diety amid chanting of mantras by priests. The Sri Lankan PM is an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. He was in India for a 5-day visit.
