Donald Trump to visit Ahmedabad: White House

GANDHINAGAR: USA White House press secretary on 10th February (as per USA working hours) issued a press statement announcing President Donald J Trump’s upcoming visit to India.
White House press statement said,“President Donald J Trump and first lady Melania Trump will visit India on February 24. The President and first lady will travel to New Delhi and Ahmedabad, which is Prime Minister Modi’s home in Gujarat and has played an important role in Mahatma Gandhi’s life. During a phone call over the weekend, President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed that the trip will further strengthen the United States-India strategic partnership and highlight the strong and enduring bonds between Americans and Indians.”
This is the first official endorsement by USA government of Trump’s Ahmedabad visit. Gujarat government administration is fully engaged in the preparations of the US President's visit. The government of India and Gujarat government have planned a mega gathering of around one lakh at the newly built Motera cricket stadium, which will be addressed by Narendra Modi and Donald Trump on 24th February. Both the leaders will also visit Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram.
