Country To Run By 'Jan Ki Baat', Not 'Mann Ki Baat': Uddhav Thackeray

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday congratualted Arvind Kejriwal as AAP headed for a huge mandate in the Delhi Assembly elections and inched close to repeat 2015 results where it bagged 67 of total 70 seats.

"I congratulate Arvind Kejriwal and the people of Delhi for AAP's victory in #DelhiPolls2020. People have shown that the country will be run by 'Jan Ki Baat', not 'Mann Ki Baat'. BJP called Kejriwal a terrorist but couldn't defeat him," said Thackeray, who broke off Shiv Sena's alliance with the BJP and formed the Maharashtra government with NCP and Congress last year.

As of 4 pm on  Tuesday, AAP  has won five seats and is leading in 58 seats. The BJP, a distant second, is leading  in seven seats. 

The Shiv Sena said the BJP got only "limited success" in its efforts to "polarise" votes over the ongoing Shaheen Bagh protest in Delhi.

Senior Shiv Sena leader and state minister Anil Parab said that the people of Delhi have backed the development works of AAP and voted for the party.

"Despite deploying top leaders in the poll campaign, the BJP has been decisively rejected in Delhi as the people have voted on the issue of development only," Parab said.
