Olympic cyclist Anna Meares has welcomed her first child with partner Nick Flyger.
Meares, 36, a double gold medalist, gave birth to her daughter on Monday.
Writing on Instagram she revealed that the baby's name was Evelyn Bette Meares Flyger and said that becoming a mum was her greatest achievement.
'Better than any medal or title I have ever won, The day that I became a mum,' she said.

The 11-time world champion was flooded with messages congratulating her from other sporting greats.
Australian swimming legend, Ian Thorpe, said 'Congratulations! Supermum!'.
Surfing great Mick Fanning also congratulated the new parents along with Olympic gold medalist Bronte Campbell.
The cycling champ announced she was pregnant in September last year and had been dating Flyger who is a cycling sprint coach since 2017.
'You spend 22 years chasing medals and titles and all that sort of stuff and this is the one I wasn't sure I'd get, and now I've got it it's amazing,' Meares told The Advertiser.
'I feel really good, I'm just enjoying it. The emotions hit me when she was born but I think I've settled into it and stared at her long enough to make it real, she's actually here and not in my imagination.'

Meares said she and her partner Nick Flyger were tackling parenthood well together and were taking turns to look after the baby to let the other sleep.
The 36-year-old retired from professional cycling after the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games where she was the Australian captain and flag bearer.
Throughout her career she had won six Olympic medals and competed in four Olympic Games.
In 2016, Meares became the first Australian to win a medal in four consecutive games.
Flyger will lead the Australian cycling sprint team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
