Shared Ambition takes centre stage on big day at the Farm
He is nominated for some big races during The Championships so all eyes will be on the return of the exciting Shared Ambition at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
The imported four-year-old puts his unbeaten Australian record on the line in the Bowness Stud Mile (1600m), a race that will give trainer Chris Waller a guide on what race might be his grand final this autumn carnival.

When The Championships nominations closed yesterday, Shared Ambition was entered for the group 1 $4 million Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m), the group 1 $2m Schweppes Sydney Cup (3200m) and the $3m The Star Doncaster Mile (1600m).
Shared Ambition has completed two barrier trials and an exhibition gallop, the latter at Randwick with stablemate Youngstar, and Waller told media after that workout he was impressed with what he saw and the horse in general.
‘‘I love (Shared Ambition’s) action. When Nash (Rawiller) asked him to quicken the last 100m you could see him really use his body,’’ he said.
‘‘I don’t know (how good he is) yet but the next few runs will tell us more.’’
Rawiller is booked to continue his association with Shared Ambition at Warwick Farm.
The gelding does have a couple of hurdles to overcome given he is yet to face a heavy track and hasn’t won below 1800m but he is a proven first-up performer and Waller will send him into stakes company after his resumption.
Races like the Parramatta Cup (1900m) and Randwick City Stakes (2000m) appear to be in Shared Ambition’s future.
Waller has four runners in the open handicap, which was transferred from last Saturday’s washed out meeting, with group 1 winner Youngstar, experienced wet tracker Wu Gok and ex-Tasmanian stayer Eastender providing some solid opposition.
The $2m Inglis Millennium (1100m) and $1m Inglis Sprint (1200m) provide a couple of early highlights on the nine-race program at Warwick Farm with those races also held over from last weekend.
