Sacred Heart in Kingston to close high school

Alice France: I am so sorry to hear this. Both my boys went there, they loved it and went on to College. The friendships they made there continued after graduation. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place of learning and caring.

Patricia Dunn: So sad to hear this. Went to Catholic school and got a good education but they closed down my old school too -- St Kevin’s in Dorchester.

David Stevens: It’s terrible, my daughter is so upset. She only has 2 years left after being with her friends for since pre-K. Her boyfriend will be a senior and will have to graduate from another school.

Brockton man killed in shooting marks city’s first murder in 2020

Frivolous Tim: Brockton’s a war zone. Every time there’s a shooting, there are retaliation shootings to follow for the next days. It’s sad.

Sven von Magnus: I grew up in Brockton, walked anywhere and everywhere at all times of the day and night. No guns, no stabbings, until the beginning of the 70s. So it is evolving!

Sharon French: Not starting the New Year off right. Prayers for the victim and family.

Ann D'Agostino: Though I may not agree with his vote, I respect that he thinks for himself and isn’t ruled by peer pressure.

Jayne Mitchell Stokes: You should always stand up for what you believe!

Robert Norgard: Romney is only for one thing -- himself. Congress is not his place.

Seven shots fired in afternoon drive-by at Westgate Mall

Ortiz Gerardo: Brockton used to be a beautiful place to live or even visit. Now, forget it! I wouldn't go there for anything. What a waste of town. So sad.

Curt Alves Andrade: Brockton is still nice, this is what happens when you let drugs, drug dealers and gangs take over the town. This is happening everywhere across America.

Jean Christie Travers: The Brockton people need to stand united against these types, or their town and streets are lost.

Portsmouth mom, 34, dying of colon cancer has a message for you

Kristine Perron Wojcicki: Early detection is the key. I am so sad for her and her family! I also have to say that a colonoscopy is not as bad as everyone thinks. If I did not have mine this past June we would have not found my cancerous polyp. I was a lucky one. I am only 47 and had a colectomy in August, but if I had ignored my gut and slight symptoms until I was 50, the conversation would have been entirely different!

Maryanne Chartier: I actually had no medical issues however was considering gastric bypass so it was a requirement. They found colon cancer. I was one of the lucky ones. I had surgery, no chemo or radiation. It’s been three years and I thank god every day.

Kristin Harding: I lost my cousin in his early 30s recently to colon cancer, and my Dad was 48 when he lost his battle with colon cancer. Time to raise awareness! Important message for sure.

John Carlson: Lost my sister Kristen Carlson to colorectal cancer five years ago. She was 44. If you suspect something isn’t right, get checked, please.

Alan Doyle: Had a great date night with my wife. The food was awesome. Very professional wait staff with great service. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back. 5 STARS.

Suzanne McGuire: Ate there today, it was awesome! I had stewed chicken that had a fabulous sauce. Can't wait to try some of the other yummy sounding items on the menu. Best of luck to them.

ALDI coming to Natick; slated to open this fall

Indira Whitfield: Great supermarket with great prices. It will definitely give Stop & Shop and Wegman’s a run for their money.

Mark Bronstein: The (planning) board is too full of itself. It’s a shopping plaza that has been in existence for a million years. If Total Wines and Liquors can operate then so can a grocery store.

Ben Sexton: Major upgrade for commerce over what was there. Drives significant foot traffic for Total Wine and Skybox. That area is developing fast.

Al Audette: My friend and I made a lot of money shoveling walks and driveways for several days. I wonder how many of today’s youth would be out there trying this?

Paula Goodwin: I was in sixth grade. I remember being dismissed from school and not going back till the next week - great! We lost power but my father made a fire in the fireplace and we cooked hot dogs over the fire like we were camping - great! Lots of snow to play in - great! From a child’s perspective, it was the greatest thing ever!

Diane Barros: I remember trying to go to work but when I opened my door, there was a wall of snow there as high as my door; we were bombarded!
