2020-02-11 15:00

Let's face it; we don't deserve dogs. They brighten up the darkest of days. In honour of man's best friend, our TV guide tonight is dedicated to them.

From a dog solving crimes, to a documentary about dogs around the world, to Will Smith's moving post-apocalyptic movie.

Hudson & Rex - Universal TV (DStv 117) - 20:00

S2/E1 Detective Charlie Hudson is partnered with Rex, a K9 German shepherd, and together they investigate crimes. In this episode, the body of a lead singer of a local band is found on a beach.

Dogs - Netflix

Dogs are known as man's best friend, so it goes without saying that the animals form tight bonds with their caregivers. This docuseries celebrates those bonds between people and their beloved four-legged buddies. It profiles people and their pooches, telling stories from around the world - including Syria, Japan and Costa Rica - that prove the unconditional love one feels for their dog is a universal truth.

I Am Legend – DStv Now

Robert Neville, a scientist, is the last human survivor of a plague in the whole of New York. His only companion is his dog, Samantha. He attempts to find a way to reverse the effects of the man-made virus by using his own immune blood.
