DARTMOUTH - Tal Schneider, the award-winning chief political correspondent of the Israeli daily Globes, will speak at an event Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. at UMass Dartmouth's Claire T. Carney Library.

The program is a collaboration between the Jewish Federation of Greater New Bedford and the University’s Center for Jewish Culture.

Schneider is a senior political correspondent from Israel, and her newspaper is considered “The Israeli Wall Street Journal.”

Organizers had an idea that what Schneider describes as the “reciprocal Bibi-Trump politics” would make for a fascinating conversation. With the new Middle-East peace plan recently unveiled, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s indictment on three counts in Israel and the ongoing impeachment process of President Trump, the organizers feel the conversation will be a real roller coaster ride.

Schneider's talk at UMass Dartmouth comes after she covers the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries, during this time of unique political significance.
