A savvy Australian woman has shared her brilliant idea of creating a television cabinet using small entertainment units from Kmart.
Posting to the Kmart Hacks and Decor group, the woman said she combined two noir entertainment units together, priced at $59 each.
Once completing the new home unit, the woman said she added a timber veneer on top to finish the stylish look.
'We used two of the new Kmart noir TV units, screwed them together and added a timber veneer top to create a much more practical size unit for the space and size of the TV. The lamp, coffee table and rug are from Kmart too,' she wrote.

Since posting an image of her creation online, the woman has been praised for her creativity and low-budget idea.
The project has also inspired others to make the inexpensive television unit themselves.
'What a great idea! I'm going to try this myself, I need a new entertainment unit,' one woman said.
Another said: 'I made one last night! I used a $12 piece of melamine and used liquid nails to glue a $20 sheet of laminate on top. So much cheaper than the $100 bench top and I'm so happy with the end result!'
The woman also posted an image of her final product in the comments of the post.

One woman said the smart hack is ideal for those with larger televisions and is a great way to avoid spending hundreds of dollars.
'Thanks for the inspiration. I brought the cabinet home and was sad when I realised the TV was too big, then I saw your post. I'm loving it. Great idea Carol!' she said.
