Man hit by train at railway crossing in Lucknow, dies

LUCKNOW: A 26-year-old man crossing a gated railway track on foot died after being hit by a train in Daliganj on Monday.
According to police, Arun Kumar Rawat of Daliganj reached the railway crossing and found the gates closed.
Rawat crossed the lowered boom barrier but before he could reach the other side of the track he was hit by a speeding train. Locals informed his family members who rushed him to KGMU Trauma Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Rawat worked in a private company in Hasanganj. SHO, Hasanganj, Amarnath Verma said Rawat's family had taken him to hospital before police could reach the spot.
On February 4, a woman who had plugged in earphones was hit by a train at Purania crossing in Aliganj.
