Highlights

    Grandhomme finishes run chase

Colin de Grandhomme finishes the run chase with a boundary. Grandhomme remains unbeaten for 58 from 28 deliveries. An easy win for hosts as they finish off the run chase with 17 balls to spare. Jasprit Bumrah remains wicketless today. The T20I series belonged to India. The ODI series belonged to New Zealand as they clean sweep the hosts by 3-0. NZ - 300/5 after 47.1 overs

    15:03 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Grandhomme hits 21-ball fifty

Colin de Grandhomme makes a mockery of Shardul Thakur's bowling. Thakur continues to trust his short deliveries and Grandhomme continues to punish him. 20 runs from the over including three fours and one six. He reaches his fourth ODI half-century from just 21 deliveries. This is the third joint-fastest fifty against India in ODIs. What an inning, what a comeback it has been. NZ - 293/5 after 46 overs

    14:57 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Easy going for New Zealand

Virat Kohli brings back Jasprit Bumrah early as Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur bowl expensive overs. The over from Bumrah does not make a difference either. Grandhomme hits his low full toss for a boundary. Four more singles from the over. New Zealand need 24 runs from 30 balls. NZ - 273/5 after 45 overs

    14:54 (IST)11 Feb 2020
Latham-Grandhomme in control of run chase

Navdeep Saini has gone for 68 runs in his eight overs already. Tom Latham hits a boundary from the over, not taking any risks after that, working for singles. NZ - 265/5 after 44 overs

    14:48 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Poor bowling from Thakur

Despite his short balls going for boundaries, Shardul Thakur continues to bowl them. At that pace, these deliveries are freebies for Colin de Grandhomme. The Kiwi all-rounder whacks them on the leg side for a six and a four. Tom Latham scores a boundary as well. 15 runs from Thakur's over. It's a tough time to be captain. Virat Kohli can't have his two fast bowlers struggling when he has only five bowlers in the team. NZ - 255/5 after 43 overs

    14:44 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Grandhomme goes big

Believe it or not, Colin de Grandhomme's six off Yuzvendra Chahal helped him post his highest score in this tour (including T20Is and ODIs). 12 runs from Chahal's last over. He finishes with three wickets for 47 runs including a maiden over. Grandhomme is now batting on 14. Before this innings, he had scored 14 runs on the whole tour. NZ - 240/5 after 42 overs

    14:39 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Run out chance missed

Mayank Agarwal's throw from the deep did not have enough power in it. India are trying to slow down the flow of runs and Jasprit Bumrah has been trying to do that. Just 5 runs from Bumrah's eighth over. NZ - 228/5 after 41 overs

    14:35 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Kohli furious over Saini

Colin de Grandhomme takes the aerial route on the last ball of the over from Yuzvendra Chahal. It could have been a half chance had Navdeep Saini attempted it but he waited for it and fielded it on the bounce. Virat Kohli is not happy with that effort. NZ - 223/5 after 40 overs

    14:33 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    WICKET!

An easy catch for Virat Kohli at short mid-wicket. James Neesham's unnecessary attack on Yuzvendra Chahal takes his wicket. Chahal takes his third wicket. What a bowling performance it has been from the leg-spinner. NZ - 220/5 after 39.3 overs

    14:24 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Jadeja ends his spell

Ravindra Jadeja has done exceptionally well today with the ball. Just one single from the over. James Neesham was happy to play out the rest of the over. Jadeja finishes his quota of 10 overs with one wicket for 45 runs. NZ - 216/4 after 38 overs

    14:22 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Saini's bad run continues

At the start of the over, Jasprit Bumrah had a few suggestions for a struggling Navdeep Saini in the presence of skipper Virat Kohli. However, Saini leaked 8 runs from the over including a boundary off Tom Latham's bat. Saini needs to be economical in his remaining three overs if India are to win this match. NZ - 215/4 after 37 overs

    14:14 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    SIX!

Shardul Thakur bangs it short and outside off stump to James Neesham. A loosener asking to be hit by James Neesham and he hits it over the fielder at the fence for a maximum. First boundary since Ross Taylor's wicket. NZ - 199/4 after35 overs

    14:05 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    HUGE SCALP for Thakur!

The set batsman is gone. Henry Nicholls goes poking towards the back of the length delivery outside off stump from Shardul Thakur and ends up edging it to the wicketkeeper. Nicholls for 80. The game is officially wide open now. The required run rate of 6.29 can soon convert to 8-9 runs per over. NZ - 189/4 after 32.5 overs

    13:59 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Taylor falls cheaply

Ross Taylor did not look comfortable in the crease at all. Taylor was itching to get off the strike and in the process chipped one straight to the short cover fielder Virat Kohli. Taylor departs for 7. Henry Nicholls' role as an anchor becomes more crucial now. NZ - 186/3 after 31.5 overs

    13:52 (IST)11 Feb 2020
Rahul almost pulls off a run out

KL Rahul took off his glove in a flash and threw the ball at the non-striker's end and hitting the stumps. But, Ross Taylor managed to get inside the crease despite mix-up with Henry Nicholls. Taylor has been vulnerable early in his innings. NZ - 175/2 after 30 overs

    13:47 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Expensive from Saini

Navdeep Saini seems to be having an off day. Saini bowls short, into the comfort zone of Henry Nicholls and he hits him for two consecutive boundaries. India missing a sixth bowler here, again! NZ - 170/2 after 29 overs

    13:38 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Chahal's magic works again

Yuzvendra Chahal breaks another partnership. Kane Williamson gets out trying to work the ball towards the leg side but finds the short mid-wicket fielder Mayank Agarwal. Soft dismissal for Williamson as he departs for 22 on his return after injury. IND - 159/2 after 27.1 overs

    13:35 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Eventful over from Saini

Navdeep Saini bowls a no ball. Well, not exactly. Saini's foot was well behind the line while landing. Saini bowls a wonderful slower delivery to follow it up, no run off free hit.. The umpire calls another no ball, this one was correct. Nicholls pulls away the short of the length delivery for a boundary towards deep mid-wicket making full use of the free hit delivery. An overthrow from Virat Kohli in the over as well venting out his frustration when Nicholls was standing in the crease. 10 runs from the over. NZ - 159/1 after 27 overs

    13:20 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    FIFTY!

Henry Nicholls works the ball between the mid-on and mid-wicket fielder for a boundary to get to his half-century from 72 deliveries. Nicholls has anchored the run chase well so far. NZ - 135/1 after 23 overs

    13:17 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Run out chance missed

India needed that run out. Pressure was created by spinners with short balls. Henry Nicholls was looking for a quick single off Jasprit Bumrah and was taking on the mid on fielder Shardul Thakur. Nicholls would have been way short of the non-striker's end had the throw from Thakur been on target. Virat Kohli is obviously not impressed with that effort.

    13:08 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Spinners slow down proceedings

India have made a comeback in this match with opener Martin Guptill's wicket. However, they need more wickets at this stage. Henry Nicholls and Kane Williamson are not taking any risks. They are building a partnership to attack later in the innings. NZ - 120/1 after 20 overs

    12:58 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    BOWLED!

Yuzvendra Chahal comes back into the attack and gets the major breakthrough. Chahal outplays Martin Guptill with a perfect leg spinner missing the bat and hitting the top of offstump. Chahal bowled just one over in the powerplay overs and was taken off the attack. This is a major breakthrough for India. Guptill departs for a 46-ball 66. Meanwhile, Guptill breaks Nathan Astle's record to become New Zealand's leading run-scorer in ODIs as an opener. NZ - 106/1 after 16.3 overs

    12:49 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    100 up!

Outstanding stuff from New Zealand openers. 100-run partnership completed in the 15th over. Martin Guptill is batting on 65 with a strike rate of 151 whereas Henry Nicholls is anchoring the run chase. NZ - 103/0 after 15 overs

    12:40 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Jadeja into the attack

Good decision from Virat Kohli to bring Ravindra Jadeja into the attack. The left-arm spinner may create difficult angles when Martin Guptill tries to hit big shots. Henry Nicholls survives a run out scare on the last ball. Guptill-Nicholls knock the ball around for singles in Jadeja's over. IND 83/0 after 12 overs

    12:35 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Guptill hits quickfire fifty

Martin Guptill reaches his 38th ODI half-century from just 29 deliveries. Short ball from Shardul Thakur and Guptill pulls it away with disdain for a flat six. Next ball, Guptill pulls again and hits it for a boundary towards fine leg. 13 runs from Thakur's over. More problems for skipper Virat Kohli. NZ - 78/0 after  11 overs

    12:32 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    End of first powerplay

India desperately need a breakthrough here. Change of end for Navdeep Saini. Just two runs and five dot balls from his fourth over. Henry Nicholls has been cautious as Martin Guptill is firing from the other end. Maybe bringing Ravindra Jadeja into the attack works for India. NZ - 65/0 after 10 overs

    12:28 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Thakur into the attack

Shardul Thakur introduced into the attack. After three dot balls, Henry Nicholls hits the back of the length delivery for a boundary towards deep square leg. Not an ideal start for Thakur as well. New Zealand batsmen under no pressure whatsoever. NZ - 63/0 after 9 overs

    12:21 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Chahal into the attack

Virat Kohli has introduced spin into the attack in the first powerplay. Yuzvendra Chahal tries to slow down the flow of runs but Martin Guptill manages a boundary off the last ball. He has moved into 40s now. NZ - 57/0 after 8 overs

    12:18 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Brute force from Guptill

50 up for New Zealand! Martin Guptill, the batsman that takes the game away from the opposition is back. Guptill just slaps Jasprit Bumrah's short delivery for a huge six. That one went over the fence and into the crowd like a tracer bullet. He follows it up with a boundary down the ground. This is not a pleasing sight for an Indian fan. Guptill absolutely dominating. NZ - 50/0 after 7 overs

    12:12 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Saini takes a beating

Martin Guptill continues to attack Navdeep Saini, almost trying to hit him off the attack. Saini angles that one on the leg stump and Guptill flicks it away for a maximum. He follows it up with another boundary. This has not been an ideal start for India defending a total f 297. Henry Nicholls gets a boundary as well, 15 runs from the over. NZ - 40/0 after 6 overs

    12:04 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Comeback from Saini

After going for 10 runs in his first over, Navdeep Saini keeps the line and length in check. Saini bowls five dot deliveries in a row. Henry Nicholls manages to find the gap off the last delivery and gets three runs. NZ - 23/0 after 4 overs

    12:00 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Bumrah keeps it tight

Jasprit Bumrah keeps things tight in his second over. Henry Nicholls gets beaten outside off stump. Nicholls gets off the mark. Just three runs from the over. This is a decent start from the Kiwis so far. NZ - 20/0 after 3 overs

    11:56 (IST)11 Feb 2020
Guptill goes after Saini for a six!

Navdeep Saini's first ball was unplayable for Guptill. A Good length cuts back in and Guptill just hangs his bat out forward to defend. He gets a four. Navdeep is bowling over 140kph. Conceded six off the last ball to fine leg. NZ 17/0 after 2 overs.

    11:50 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Guptill-Nicholls begin the hunt

Chasing 297-run target, Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls are in the middle with Bumrah is opening the bowling attack from India. After 1st of over NZ are 7/0 after 1 over.

    11:17 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Good finish for India

Good finish for India. Ravindra Jadeja manages to get a boundary through a ram shot whereas Navdeep Saini hits the long ball over extra cover fielder for a boundary. 12 runs from the final over. IND - 296/7 after 50 overs

    11:11 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Saini misfires

India need runs however they come. Navdeep Saini swings his bat on a slower delivery, edges it and gets a boundary. Hamish Bennett bowls three short deliveries after that but Saini could not get bat on it. Good penultimate over from Bennett. Just 4 runs and a wicket from it. IND - 284/7 after 49 overs

    11:08 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Thakur falls

No cameo in the back end of the innings from Shardul Thakur today. A juicy full toss from Hamish Bennett and Thakur hits it straight up in the air and gets caught by Colin de Grandhomme in the deep. Navdeep Saini comes in to bat. IND - 280/7 after 48.2 overs

    11:04 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Thakur hits boundary

Shardul Thakur gets underway with a boundary off the second ball he faces from Tim Southee. 11 runs including two wides from Southee's over. India need 19 more runs to get to the 300-run mark. IND - 280/6 after 48 overs

    11:01 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Jadeja defends

Ravindra Jadeja defends the hat-trick ball from Hamish Bennett. A huge over for New Zealand as they get two set batsmen out. Jadeja and Shardul Thakur in the middle, capable of inflicting damage in the death overs with Navdeep Saini still to come. IND - 269/6 after 47 overs

    10:58 (IST)11 Feb 2020
    Bennett on hat-trick

Just after KL Rahul's wicket, Manish Pandey tries to take him on and hits the ball straight to the long-on fielder. Hamish Bennett is on hat-trick. Two new batsmen in the middle. IND - 269/6 after 46.5 overs
