Silver futures slip on weak spot demand

Silver futures on Monday fell by Rs 91 to Rs 46,015 per kg as participants cut down their bets taking weak cues from overseas markets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery tumbled by Rs 91, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 46,015 per kg in a business turnover of 2,157 lots.

Besides, the white metal to be delivered in May fell by Rs 57, 0.12 per cent, to Rs 46,560 per kg in 24 lots.

In the international market, silver prices traded 0.01 per cent lower at USD 17.69 an ounce in New York.
