Following its European unveiling in October 2019, the Cupra Ateca Limited Edition has arrived in the United Kingdom with two versions and the production capped at just 100 of the 1,999 units available worldwide.

For the Ateca Limited Edition in Rhodium Grey, available in 80 units, customers will pay £41,120 ($53,133/€48,464). That’s £3,755 ($4,852/€4,426) more than the base Cupra Ateca.

The Graphene Grey version with Akrapovic exhaust, limited to just 20 cars, costs £45,160 ($58,353/€53,226). That makes the latter more expensive than the 240 PS (237 HP) Skoda Kodiaq vRS, which starts at £44,065 ($56,800 / €51,872) in the UK. Save some more and you could get a BMW M2 Competition, which is priced from £51,425 ($66,285 / €60,530).

The sporty compact SUV has a copper thread carbon fiber roof wing for improved aerodynamics, copper thread mirror caps and ‘CUPRA’ lettering, and 20-inch copper alloy wheels. The special look is carried over inside, with copper carbon fiber moldings and black frames around the dashboard and infotainment system. Completing the offering are the heated front sports seats, wrapped in Petrol Blue Alcantara.

The standard Cupra Ateca is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo’d petrol engine churning out 300 PS (296 HP / 221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. It does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds and maxes out at 247 km/h (153 mph). The performance has been enhanced in the limited edition spec with ABT’s power upgrade.

Available at local retailers, it bumps the output and torque to 350 PS (345 HP / 257 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft), respectively, while also dropping the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration to 4.9 seconds and lifting the top speed to 255 km/h (158 mph).
