A mother and her four children are lucky to be alive after suffering carbon monoxide poisoning.
The family had been running a generator in their home in Georges Hall, southwest Sydney, when they began feeling unwell on Monday morning.
NSW Paramedics found the woman and her children, aged two to 13, suffering from nausea, lethargy, and light headedness.

It is understood the generator had been running for about 45 minutes inside the home after severe storms caused power outages across Sydney

Emergency crews rushed to take the family to Liverpool Hospital where they were given oxygen
They were rushed to Liverpool Hospital where they are being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.
They have been given ongoing oxygen treatment.
It is understood the generator had been running for about 45 minutes inside the home after severe storms caused power outages across Sydney.
'It is a very scary callout, when carbon monoxide is involved there can be dire consequences,' Marcus Hunziker, from NSW Ambulance, told 9news.
'This could have been a lot worse today.'
Symptoms of carbon monoxide poising are similar to a common cold, however, if not treated early it can be deadly.
