Which party will win these assembly elections and what percentage of votes do they need to reach the top? The answer to this question depends on how we look. If you look at the last assembly elections, then the BJP will have to sweat a lot to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
2015 election wise
Talking about the 2015 assembly elections, the AAP garnered a total of 54.6% of the vote share, while the BJP got 32.8% of the votes and of course, the Congress won 9.7%. If you think of that, then to compete with AAP BJP has to bring at least 10.9% more votes to its account. It is believed that some of the AAP voters will change this time, but whether they will join the BJP or in Congress.
If we talk about the 2017 civic elections, BJP was ahead of AAP (26.2%) and Congress (21.1%) by securing 36.1% votes in that election. According to that, now the BJP needs only 5 percent votes in its court. That is, AAP faces half the challenge compared to BJP.
In terms of Lok Sabha elections
In the last Lok Sabha election, 56.9% of the Delhi voters supported the BJP while the Congress was second with 22.6% votes and AAP was third with 18.2% votes.
Barring the 2017 civic elections, no party can have another trick. But if BJP can increase its numbers, then it can form government in Delhi by the alliance.
