Refined soya oil futures slip on soft demand

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya oil prices on Monday fell by Rs 6.2 to Rs 843.2 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 6.2, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 843.2 per 10 kg in 22,585 lots.

The refined soya oil contracts for March dropped by Rs 9.2, or 1.1 per cent, to Rs 829.2 per 10 kg in 54,250 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices.
