Thousands pay homage to RSS ideologue

Thiruvananthapuram: Thousands of people from different walks of life paid homage to departed RSS ideologue P Parameswaran on Monday. Those who paid their last tribute include governor Arif Mohammad Khan, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Mizoram governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, Union ministers D V Sadananda Gowda and V Muraleedharan and state ministers Thomas Isaac, E Chandrasekharan, Kadannappally Surendran and Kadakampally Surendran, senior BJP leaders O Rajagopal and Kummanam Rajasekharan.
RSS sarva karyavah Bhayyaji Joshi reached Samskrithi Bhavan, headquarters of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram, on early Monday morning and paid tributes to the departed leader. He recalled Parameswaran as a son of mother India who dedicated his entire life for serving her. Other senior leaders of state RSS and BJP were also present.
The mortal remains were taken to Samskrithi Bhavan from Kochi on late Sunday night. In the morning, body was taken to Ayyankali Hall and kept their for public to pay homage till 10.30am. TNN
