LUCKNOW: Warmer days and nights are in store for the city next week, weathermen said on Sunday, even as cold winds kept the Celsius below 10 degrees.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were 24.2°C and 8.6°C, respectively, but Met officials said the wind flow would decline by Tuesday and the mercury would witness a rise.
"A fresh western disturbance (an extra-tropical storm originating in the Mediterranean region) is brewing and it will lead to changes in weather, including rise in temperatures," said state Met director JP Gupta.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Monday are expected to be around 25°C and 9°C, respectively. Gupta maintained that the skies would mostly be clear through the week and the cold draft would continue only for another 48 hours, after which days and nights would be comfortably warm.
