Larsen & Tubro has won power
transmission and distribution orders worth Rs 2,500 to 5,000 crore in India and abroad, the engineering major said on Monday.
The company said that it bagged an to construct a 500kV substation, in association with a prominent local player, in the Philippines that will cater to the growing demand for electricity in the metropolitan area of
Manila. Another international order came from Saudi Arabia for construction of a 380kV
substation with an associated 230kV cable network and to set up transmission line corridors. The company also received an order to construct extra high voltage from a customer in the Middle East.
In India, the company won an order in Gujarat to construct a 765kV double circuit transmission line that will help transmit
power from renewable energy sources. It received another order to build a 20 mw floater solar power project at a reservoir of
NTPC’s Auraiya Gas Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh. Besides these orders, the company also received some add-on jobs at ongoing substation projects.
