JAIPUR: A single bench of the Rajasthan high court on Monday gave an interim stay on the selection of nurse grade II and auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM) for denying reservation to candidates.
The court has also asked the state government to file an affidavit by February 17 and provide information about circulars issued in relation to caste certificates given to SC and ST candidates. A total of 11,000 posts have to be filled in the nurse grade II and ANM categories.
The government had issued the advertisement for recruitment on May 30, 2018, and invited applicants for 6,035 nurse grade II and 4,965 ANM posts.
Petitioners Leelavati and others, who had applied from ST and SC categories, respectively, had approached the high court after they were put in the general category.
