2 CRPF personnel, Naxal killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

Police have said a Naxal and two CRPF personnel have been killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh.

A Naxal was killed and two personnel of CRPF's CoBRA battalion were killed in an encounter in Bijapur of Chattisgarh on Monday.

Two CoBRA personnel of the 204 battalion lost their lives in the encounter with Naxals at Irapalli village in Bijapur district, news agency ANI said.

The encounter broke out on Monday morning at Irapalli village in Bijapur district when the security forces were out on a counter-insurgency operation, a CRPF official said.

Two other CRPF personnel of the CoBRA battalion suffered injuries in the encounter.
