Punjab: Two years after minor’s rape, singer arrested

BATHINDA: A Punjabi singer has been arrested by Bathinda police for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in 2018.
The case under IPC and POCSO Act was registered in 2018 against the accused, who was arrested on Sunday evening by the Bathinda Civil Lines police, said an official. The complaint was filed on October 25, 2018, by a relative of the survivor. The accused allegedly committed the crime in his office. Police said the accused had been untraceable all these months.
