Chennai: Bomb hurled on 23-year-old in Irumbuliyur

CHENNAI: A 23 year-old-youth and a couple of his friends were injured in Irumbuliyur on Saturday, after being hit by a country bomb by a four-member gang.
Based on a complaint from Parthiban and his friends, Selaiyur police have registered a case and are looking for Vivekraj and three of his aides.
According to police, Vivekraj, from Nedunkundram, was recently released from prison. He had a previous enmity with Parthiban's father, Shankar. Four ysears ago, Shankar and his relatives had beaten up Vivekraj after a tiff in Irumbuliyur. Subsequently, Vivekraj was arrested in the case.
On Saturday night, Vivekraj and his aides went to Irumbuliyur, where Shankar was staying.
On noticing Shankar's son Parthiban, an electrician, standing near his house with friends, the gang hurled country bombs on Shankar's son.
