28kg of ganja recovered from Cauvery riverbed in TN, two arrested

THANJAVUR: Police on Sunday recovered 28kg of ganja buried in the Cauvery riverbed near Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu.
Based on a tip-off, the Kumbakonam taluk police conducted searches and recovered ganja buried in the riverbed in 15 gunny bags.
The police arrested two men -- identified as S Vignesh, 26, of Valayapettai and S Vellaiyan alias Rajkumar, 37, of Panathurai -- in connection with this.
They have launched a hunt for another accused, identified as Arunkumar, 25, of Mission Street in Elumichangapalayam.
