CHENNAI: Describing the
Public Safety Act as draconian, the
DMK on Saturday slammed the
Centre for slapping PSA on Kashmiri leaders and former chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti. Party president
M K Stalin demanded their immediate release, charging that their detention violated the fundamental right of freedom. The Centre had booked the two leaders under the stringent Act on February 6. Such draconian laws could be imposed in any state and against any leader. It is dangerous for the Centre-state relations, said Stalin.
